2010 McLean Hospice Memorial Quilt of Remembrance Unveiled

Families and friends who contributed quilt squares in honor of their departed loved ones, Hospice Team members, Volunteers, and residents of McLean, came together on November 1st to unveil the 2010 Hospice Memorial Quilt of Remembrance in a brief ceremony followed by a reception in the Health Center great room.

McLean Hospice Graduates 20 Volunteers

Twenty new volunteers have just completed over 20 hours of intense McLean Hospice Training and will soon join the cadre of fifty-five active volunteers supporting the McLean Hospice Program.

McLean Home Care & Hospice in Top 500 Agencies in Nation

McLean Home Care & Hospice has been honored for the third time by HomeCare Elite as one of the top agencies in the nation. But in 2011 the recognition is even more prestigious as McLean is one of the top 500 agencies in the nation. Only five VNAs in Connecticut made this elite group and McLean is the only one serving Avon, Canton, Simsbury, Granby and East Granby to be in the top 500.


McLean Hospice Memorial Remembrance Quilt Unveiling

On Tuesday, November 1st at 10 a.m, the McLean Hospice Memorial Remembrance Quilt honoring Hospice patients from 2010 will be unveiled.  The event will be held in the McLean Healthcare Facility lobby, 75 Great Pond Rd Simsbury with a reception following in the same location.  Those served by McLean hospice whose loved ones died in 2010 and all interested members of the community are invited to attend.
