McLean Hospice Annual Interfaith Memorial Service Comforts Many

Patricia Dill’s husband and children joined together to celebrate her life and share memories of her journey with the McLean Hospice team.McLean Hospice hosted the largest group to date of more than 120 family members, friends, staff and volunteers at its annual Interfaith Memorial Service at St. Alban’s Episcopal Church in Simsbury on April 28th.  The service remembered and honored over 200 clients who had been cared for by McLean Hospice in 2011.

McLean Hospice counselorsMcLean Hospice has a team of bereavement counselors, spiritual counselors and social workers who are all Masters prepared and have specific training to support those experiencing loss. They are committed to supporting any adult who is experiencing loss whether their loved one was served by McLean Hospice or not.

McLean Hospice Volunteers Spread Hope and Comfort with Annual Holiday Bag Project

Taffy Wilcox, of Avon, Project Leader works with a few of the 30 McLean Hospice volunteers to finish up the bags for 60 patients and their families. They were like little elves working feverously to put together holiday bags of hope and joy. Saturday December 10th, thirty McLean Hospice volunteers were spotted busily gift wrapping and attractively packaging items for sixty McLean Hospice patients and families.
